Greenville Tech has partnered Prisma Health to teach the practice of emergency healthcare delivery to patients who become unexpectedly ill or injured. The course focuses on the role and competencies of the prehospital care provider and exposes the student to the many psychological, social, behavioral, economic and environmental factors in the health of individuals and populations. Following successful course completion, successful students will take a National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) cognitive examination and become certified as a South Carolina EMT.
