The AAPC course is a Hybrid class meeting via zoom from 5:30pm to 8:30pm every Monday and Thursday. AAPC is the online version of the PMCC course and prepares students for the Certified Professional Coder (CPC®) exam. The CPC® credential is widely recognized as the gold standard for medical coding in physician office settings and is held by more than 80,000 coding professionals. All Certified Professional Coders demonstrate through rigorous examination and experience the ability to read medical charts and accurately assign diagnosis codes (ICD-10), procedure codes (CPT®), and supply codes (HCPCS Level II) for a variety of clinical cases and services.

This course is designed for students who have basic coding knowledge and are preparing for the CPC® exam. Students who are new to coding should complete the Medical Coding Basic class first.  Certified Professional Coders are essential to compliant, efficient, and profitable medical practices and typically earn 20% more than non-certified coders.* The CPC® credential increases your chances of being hired and retained in a competitive job market.
