The 30-hour Construction Outreach Training Program provides a variety of training to workers with some safety responsibility on their jobsites.  It emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not OSHA standards.  Mandatory topics include an introduction to OSHA, managing safety and health, and the "Focus Four" hazards (falls, electrocution, struck-by and caught-in or between), personal protective and lifesaving equipment, health hazards in construction, and stairways and ladders.  Elective topics that can be tailored to the needs of class participants include hand and power tools, safety and health programs, scaffolds, powered industrial vehicles, fire protection and prevention, materials handling, confined space entry, and other construction industry safety hazards.

When a student successfully completes an OSHA 30 hour construction industry training course, they will receive the official OSHA 30 hour wallet card. The cards are accepted in all 50 states and US territories.
