South Carolina Career Pathways Scholarship (CPS) Certification


To be eligible for funding, please review the certification statements and complete the SC Career Pathways Scholarship Certification Form under the course prerequisite, where applicable.
 

Statement 1 - Please check 'Yes' on the CPS form:

*This scholarship pays up to $5,000 in one academic year (Fall, Spring, Summer). Funds can apply for tuition, fees, books and course-related materials.

*Progression: A student may not be eligible to receive the Career Pathways Scholarship for more than one certificate, diploma, or associate degree within any five-year period following student's last scholarship disbursement unless additional constitutes progress in same field of study.

Students enrolled in associate degree programs shall not exceed nine (9) semesters of receipt CPS funds at the home institution. Student enrolled in IRC, diploma, or certificate programs shall not exceed six (6) semesters of receipt of CPS funds. 

*Award amounts may be adjusted or canceled due to changes in enrollment or the availability of funds.


Statement 2 - I understand that I must meet or complete ONE of the following three requirements below:

- Be employed full-time or part-time

- Complete a brief financial literacy course offered by a SC technical college:
  • Create your student account and log in to get started https://gvltec.gradready.com
  • Click on the hamburger menu upper right of screen.
  • Select Money Management, then select Money Skills.
  • Select one of the headings under Money Skills. Then watch the videos and take quiz.
- Complete 100 hours of volunteer time with a non-profit or public service organization
