Federal and state regulations require specific training for personnel involved in asbestos management. To maintain their accreditation, asbestos workers must attend an annual 8-hour AHERA Worker Refresher course that emphasizes changes in federal and state regulations and reviews key aspects of the initial training course. Students are evaluated upon course completion with a 25-question, multiple choice exam and must achieve a passing score of 70 percent in order to receive a course certificate. Oral exams may be requested for this course.
SC-DHEC approved asbestos abatement training. Only in-person courses are approved by NC-DHHS. May be used licensing as an asbestos abatement professional. To inquire about licensing in other states, please call Karen Hampton at 864-250-8438.
