CPR/BLS Health Care Provider

This course is designed to equip students with the skills to recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies using the principles of Basic Life Support (BLS). Students will develop hands-on proficiency in performing CPR on adult, child, and infant manikins, applying automated external defibrillator (AED) pads, and techniques to relieve airway obstructions.
It is appropriate for certified, or non-certified, licensed or non-licensed health care professionals seeking to meet professional requirements or enhance their emergency care training. This course is approved for Health Science students needing BLS prior to clinicals.

Required material

• 2025 American Heart Association BLS Provider Manual or eBook. ISBN: 978-1-68472-310-2. No PDF or copies are allowed. The BLS provider manual is available most weekdays at GTC bookstore, building 103, Barton Campus-bring course confirmation. The book is a requirement for admission into the class. Please note that rescheduling due to not having materials or arriving late will be at the student's expense. Please see GTC CCE Refund and Transfer Policy.

Course fee includes

• 2-year certification card
• Keychain Rescue Face Shield with one-way valve for those unexpected CPR emergencies outside of the health care setting.

IMPORTANT: The name you register with will be the name printed on your AHA eCard card. If you have any corrections, please notify Training Center Coordinator prior to class date. A card will be issued per AHA in E-card format within 3 business days of successful course completion.
